skilled nursing care, Bayview can assure residents that their needs can be met right here if their physical conditions change.The United Methodist Association helps ensure strict adherence to quality standards
through accreditation by EAGLE – the Educational Assessment Guidelines Leading toward Excellence.Bayview is also a member of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) and the
Washington Association of Housing and Services for the Aging (WAHSA).
Bayview is home to over 210 residents who value independence, friendship,
healthy living and quality care. The convenience, amenities and safety of a retirement community combine with the freedom
of living in your own home. With a prime location on Queen Anne Hill, residents can visit nearby Seattle Center or downtown
to shop, dine or attend cultural events. Our goal is to help residents be independent as long as possible, however,
if challenges arise, our caring staff are here to help.
Our History
Bayview Manor was established in 1961, on the former site of the historic Kinnear Mansion in Seattle’s Queen
Anne neighborhood.Early Seattleite Charles A. Kinnear bequeathed the property
to the First United Methodist Church for the care of older adults and children. In 1995, the original 10-story Tower Building
was augmented with the opening of the new Terrace Building, which includes the Wellness Center, Health Center and Intergenerational
Childcare Center.Founded as an independent not-for-profit organization,
Bayview Manor continues to operate in that capacity today and remains affiliated with the United Methodist Church.We are proud of the fact that our residents embrace many faiths.
